    BENTLEY YACHTS has two in-house tank testing laboratories who in the past and still today perfection the hydrodynamics and seakeeping of the most complex ships, such as nuclear submarines, hydrofoils, air cavity hulls and wing in ground effect ships capable of 250 knots plus speeds over the water. The military laboratory also performs open water model tests and counts with the experience and knowledge of over 60 Ph.D. Marine Scientists and over 450 engineers. We will tank test and suggest modifications to improve the performance of your shipyard existing hulls.

 Advanced Shipbuilding Materials & Laboratory

    Engine foundations made with special Marine Aluminum Magnesium Alloys

   BENTLEY Yachts offers, with exclusivity, advanced military developed lightweight shipbuilding materials such as two types of Aluminum Magnesium Alloys which are 40 to 50% stronger and lighter than 5083/5086 and similar marine aluminum alloys, custom Titanium fabrication, 08X17H6T Stainless Steel and environmentally friendly styreneless multi-layer composites with technical characteristics similar to the toughest aluminum alloys.

Infusion of special composite materials

    We can supply the materials and/or parts to your shipyard as well as welding and lamination know-how and equipment under Technology Transfer Agreements and Joint Ventures.

  Complete Shipbuilding Specifications

    This service is available for all types and sizes of ships. From preliminary specifications to complete Construction drawings & specifications, our services are prepared in accordance to any Classification Society of choice and always SOLAS and IMO compliant. Depending on project, shipbuilding classification can also meet the High Speed and Dynamically Supported Hull Codes. In addition we automatically offer US Coast Guard and ABYC compliance. MCA compliance is optional.

 Worldwide shipyard selection, construction planning

   We work with qualified military shipyards all over the world, so that complex hulls and/or structures in special composites, alloys and titanium can be pre-fabricated in a whole or in parts and drop-shipped to your facility, saving an incredible amount of time and money.

 Electrical System Load Calculations & Design

 Aerospace Developed Motion Control Systems:

    We design, manufacture and install the worlds most advanced motion control systems employing state-of-the-art aerospace derived technology.

    The fully automatic computerized stabilization systems are available for monohulls, catamarans, hydrofoils and SWATHs. Each Motion Control System is custom designed for the specific Yacht, after carefully evaluating the given motions of the vessel through a computer simulation test. Unlike the common pair of hydraulic actuated fins offered in the yacht industry today which can only provide roll control at a cost of increased ship noise and vibration, our aerospace developed systems use avionics software to control roll, pitch, heave and yaw through a series of devices that can include:

i) Combination of T-Foil with Transom Interceptor plates
ii) Combination of Step Interceptors Amidships with Transom Interceptors (BLADE RUNNER HULL)
iii) Combination of A-Foil with Transom Interceptor plates
iv) Combination of 4-Fin installation with Transom Flaps or Trim Tabs
v) Anti-Rolling Power Gyros and Electronically controlled Anti-Rolling U-Shaped Water Tanks can be added to most of the above.

Note: BENTLEY MARINE T- Foils, A-Foils and Fins can be made retractable and the Motion Control Systems can be fully integrated with the autopilot to provide the ultimate precision in navigation.

    We also can outfit existing vessels with most of the systems above for better fuel efficiency and significant improvement in seakeeping.

 Autonomous Compact Bridge Design, Integration and Engineering

 Fully Integrated Machinery Control, Monitoring and Alarm Systems:

    BENTLEY MARINE custom designed Navy approved touch-screen panels control and monitor all ship systems and integrate all ship controls and monitoring systems, making it possible to control and diagnose more than 700 equipment & machinery in one single screen. A normal installation will use 4 to 5 interactive touch-screen panels for back-up and multi-reading. Custom installations allow crew or guests to access all ship systems from anywhere in the boat, provided they have individual access PIN codes. Another plus of this system is that all data is continuously collected and recorded in a black box for easy diagnosis. All ship equipment is wired and inter-connected through a redundant state-of-the-art LAN system with a single wire connection to the bridge, thus saving miles and miles of wiring harness and lots of money in multi-brand equipment and installation.

 High_Efficiency Propeller Design & Fabrication:

  Carbon Fiber High Skew Propeller  Super Anti-Cavitating Propeller

    BENTLEY MARINE propulsion scientists and engineers have vast experience in the design of special purpose propellers such as coaxial reversing propellers that avoid second stage cavitation and propellers with titanium interceptors that provide 2.5 to 3 times stronger thrust than conventional ones, which raise the vessel’s original maximum speed in up to 7 knots, thus being ideal for high-speed craft applications.

    Among other remarkable military proprietary propulsion technologies, of special interest are the Ventilated Water Jets which provide an efficiency in excess of h = 0.62 ¸ 0.70, depending on the pitch ratio and the regime (when determining the efficiency the resistance of the water inlet and other parts of the propulsion are included in the VWJ thrust).
